The last part of Heroic begins where the first part took off.  After the battle of Jupiter, the Tribe of Iron fights their way to earth finally freeing it from the oppression of the Tribe of Silver.  From this, the Tribe of Iron realizes it can accomplish anything and moves in to take on The Tribe of Bronze and the Tribe of Silver.  After a quick and brutal battle the Tribe of Iron conquers the Tribe of Bronze's home world and realize that not only is it poorly defended that it is where the Tribe of Bronze raise their young.  Moving from that disaster they maneuver toward the Tribe of Silver's home planet, Codomos.  Once there, the Tribe of Silver engages the Tribe of Humans in a relentless all out battle.  Dhianeila meanwhile makes her to the surface to speak with the only member of the Tribe of Silver not to hold hostility toward the Tribe of Iron.  The two realize that in a lot of ways they are both looking for the same thing.  The gift of wisdom left behind by the Tribe of Gold. They realize quickly that this gift is on the planet, Elysium.  Most the Tribe of Silver, relinquish the assault.  However, those following Rom Ror continue to fight the Tribe of Iron believing that the Tribe of Gold did abandon them and there is nothing else left.  Once the Argonaut reaches Elysium an epic battle takes place for not only the survival of the Tribe of Iron, but for the survival of the Universe as a whole.

This part concludes the Heroic Age series.  It focuses more on the main story and the conflicts between the Tribe of Iron and the Tribe of Silver.  It also focuses a great deal on the mystery of the Tribe of Gold and the mysteries they left behind for the other Tribes.

Presentation

The box art of this portion of Heroic Age features a picture of a searching Age over a background of Belcross in his "Madness" form.  The individual DVD cases this time feature more of the less prominent secondary characters than the previous part.  The first case displays Yuty and Karkinos in subdued colors on top of a space background. The second DVD case displays Phaetho-O and Rom Ror on a space background. The inside covers of the first DVD display Lecty and Mehitak, while the inside covers of the second displays Dhianeila and Prome-O.  The animation continues to impress as the heated battles become more and more intense, and the story of the Tribe of Iron becomes more and more desperate.  The animation of the mecha battles become considerably more intense and personal as the story closes.  The rest of the animation remains more or less the same which is nothing short of stunning.  The music also continues to please enhancing to the epic feeling of the story. The voice actors also continue to do an amazing job expressing the complicated emotions of the characters as they try to figure things out. The story itself unfolds amazingly well and the last three episodes are particularly gripping.  You'll be hanging on the edge of your seat just to see how it all ends.

Extras

Like the last installment the extras are painfully thin, containing only textless songs and a handful of trailers.

Overall, this space-faring drama does a wonderful job of bringing even the deepest emotions out of you. You will, laugh, cry, and everything in between.

There are parts of the story at times that can be kind of slow. However, if you sit through them, it is very well worth it. The music and the art is quite possibly some of my favorite for an Anime series. They do a fantastic job of blending CGI and hand art. I heartily recommend watching this series, if nothing else just for the ending.
