Crash Commando is another in a growing list of fine PSN games. For $9.99, you could do much worse, and if this were $4.99 I'd instantly recommend it. Keep in mind it's focus is multiplayer action and if you're interested in that you'll find an active and growing community to play with.

Videogames

Gameplay Easy to pick up and learn, fun maps and elements.
Presentation It's a fine looking action platformer that sounds good too.
Value Crash Commando is priced at $9.99 and I think that's a very reasonable price for the experience if you're a fan of multiplayer action. Non-PSN play options are quite limited though so go into this expecting to that you will spend 90% of your time on the PSN playing with others.
Fun Factor How much fun you will have with Crash Commando is largely dependent upon what games you are able to find or create on the PSN and who you play with as the single player options aren't terribly compelling.

Dexter is a phenomenal show, but this Blu-ray release should have been more complete. On the other hand, I thought the show was so good that I watched it over the course of a day, so a weekend rental may be all that most folks need. Regardless, I strongly recommend you check the show out.

Movies

The Film/Show I thought this was an incredibly compelling season that I literally watched entirely in one day. Great premise, acting, direction, it's captivating from start to finish.
Presentation Most of the time the video is great, but there are also quite a few scenes that suffer from grain or that compressed look. The audio does a fine job.
Extra Features I think an opportunity was missed here in providing just two audio commentary tracks for two episodes and a small handful of BDLive features that I couldn't review as they aren't available yet.

Ghost is still a classic 'chick flick' film for obvious reasons; this Blu-ray release does a good job of bringing a quality presentation, but the extras are disappointing.

Movies

The Film/Show Sure a lot of the story is kind of silly, but it's still entertaining. It's not a movie I would want to see very often; it's definitely a 'chick flick' and for good reason.
Presentation It's not the best looking Blu-ray I've seen, nor the worst. Overall I can say I was pleasantly surprised at how good Ghost looked and sounded on Blu-ray given it's age.
Extra Features Frankly, there isn't a lot of content here. Nothing is new nor in HD, and a couple of the extras could have just as well been left off the disc.

The Truman Show is a great film; this Blu-ray release could have benefited greatly from some fresh extras, but it's not a terrible collection as is. Regardless, I think the strength of the film and the quality of the presentation are enough to vault this release well beyond average.

Movies

The Film/Show Very clever story, great acting, nicely done script. It's a captivating movie.
Presentation The visuals are surprisingly sharp and vibrant and the TrueHD does a fine job of bring the dialogue and sounds to your ears.
Extra Features This is a very average set of extra features, although the lack of a commentary track is unusual if nothing else. No new extra features that weren't found on a previous DVD release or anything in HD is a disappointment.

Serenity is an outstanding film and Universal didn't hold back on this fantastic Blu-ray release.

Movies

The Film/Show A superb sci-fi film that caters to newcomers to the Firefly universe and long time fans alike. It's a captivating and thoroughly enjoyable adventure.
Presentation Superb picture and audio make this a Blu-ray worth showing off.
Extra Features Universal's batch of extras is impressive and includes tons of behind the scenes footage for fans as well as nifty U-Control functions.

Action film fans are used to droves of sequels that tend to get progressively worse; everything from Kickboxer to Delta Force to the American Ninja series' have all been subject to similar fates, but in the end most diehard action film fans like myself will at least rent the weaker ones just to see for ourselves, and I'd recommend you do the same for Behind Enemy Lines: Columbia.

Movies

The Film/Show As a fan of the military action genre, I've seen a lot worse, but a lot better, too. If you like pure action movies, it's worth a watch, but the script and acting leaves something to be desired.
Presentation No major complaints here, this is a very typical DVD release as far as the video and audio quality go.
Extra Features While the total number of minutes for all of the extras might be low, I was impressed that there were this many given it's a straight to DVD release. That said, it's also nice that the two stars were a big part of nearly every feature.

Death Race is worth a watch, but I'm not convinced that many people will be interested in seeing it again. Statham fans can expect familiar territory, which isn't necessarily a bad thing, but as always, I'd suggest renting this one before buying.

Movies

The Film/Show I haven't seen the first one, but this new Death Race was worth a watch. Jason Statham takes his familiar role, and some of the races are fairly intense, but the premise is unavoidably goofy. Still, it was pretty enjoyable.
Presentation Universal Studios has done a great job of bringing this film to Blu-ray, the picture and sound are excellent.
Extra Features I like Universal's tendency to do interactive features, but you can hardly count the My Scenes feature as a, well, true feature. That said, the other extras are pretty neat.

Resident Evil Degeneration will definitely appeal to Resident Evil fans, although even those unfamiliar with the RE universe can enjoy it. Being only a moderate RE fan myself, I thought Degeneration was a little boring at parts, but well worth a watch.

Movies

The Film/Show RE fans will dig it, but it can be a bit dry in parts. Not a whole lot of replay value either, but it's well worth a watch.
Presentation The CG animation and the surround sound audio look and sound great.
Extra Features A great set of extras for this animated film.

Event Horizon is well worth a watch and this is a fine Blu-ray release; however, as always, rent before you buy if possible.

Movies

The Film/Show Event Horizon has some fine acting and a good story, and it does well for a sci-fi horror film. It felt a little hokey in parts, and I don't know how much replay value it really has, but definitely worth a watch.
Presentation Event Horizon looked and sounded very good; it's not as pristine as most Blu-ray releases of newer films, but that's understandable and regardless, this release does a very good job.
Extra Features The extensive making of feature really did it for me; it's too bad there isn't any new content here that wasn't already released, and nothing is in HD, but for fans of the film, there is a lot to dive into and enjoy here.
