Review Detail
Not bad for a second go around
In the end, Sam and Max Season Two is a success. I think there should be a little more refinement when it comes to the difficulty of the series, but the overall structure and formula that Telltale Games has created, works really well. If you want to try and episode out before you purchase the whole package, I recommend it without flinching. If you have never experienced a point and click before then definitely try before you buy. It may not be for everyone, but it's certainly worth your attention.

| Gameplay | I think that Telltale Game has a good formula going here. They certainly innovated the series in its reboot and wanted to provide a simplified way of handling things. In exchange for such things, it upped the difficulty tremendously. It does capture the essence of what Sam and Max should be in the point and click genre. |
| Presentation | While I was certainly skeptical of the episodic format, I'm glad that they did it. It makes the games seem very individual and, when combined, makes them feel like one gigantic story. Add to the fact that the visuals and audio are superb and you've got some great presentation. |
| Value | For $34.95 it's a steal. There's fun to be had here and it's stop/go type of fun. You won't be in a race to beat the game. |
| Fun Factor | The difficulty of the games is what really holds the fun factor back from being really good. I think that it will play a part in defining what type of gamer are you. It will play on your patience and sometimes force you to step away from the computer (more than once). |
