Review Detail
Dark Horizon impressed me; it has a few flaws, sure, but it's a very respectable space combat title with some nice RPG elements.
Videogames
| Gameplay | A bit of a learning curve really pays off as you begin to get comfortable customizing your ship and taking it to The Mirk. |
| Presentation | The graphics are very good and glitch free for the most part. The sound package is mostly good, but the effects seemed too quiet and subdued. I liked the voiceovers and the soundtrack. |
| Value | This will be available on GamersGate for $30, and at that price it's a reasonable deal. Twenty-two missions will keep players busy for a good ten to twelve hours. |
| Fun Factor | Dark Horizon does a fine job of making a space combat game reasonably accessible. Once you get used to things around the second or third mission, it's a lot of fun working with your allies to fight back against The Mirk. |
