King's Bounty has a visual presentation second to none. It should be noted that despite the lack of HDR or abundant particle effects the game's art and animation is really superb. The game offers satisfying strategy and a passable (albeit at times jumbled) story. The real time map exploration really helped get me through the tedium I experience of waiting for creatures to spawn or to travel across an entire map in a Heroes of Might and Magic game. The price is right and the opportunity to replay it with the random levels and varying classes really adds to this games value. I don't have as much a gripe with some of the translation errors as some of the other reviews I've read, and felt that it only marginally took away from the games experience. I whole-heartedly recommend this game to anyone who enjoyed the Heroes series, or even the Ultima games.
