Hotel Giant 2
Aspiring hotel moguls or fans of The Sims might want to give Hotel Giant 2 a look. Developed by Nobilis and published by Southpeak Interactive, Hotel Giant 2 will let you build and manage the hotel of your dreams with a plethora of options and an intense amount of micro management. The subject matter is niche enough, but the tedium of constant management made this one tough to enjoy. I'm not a fan of The Sims either though, so if you are into games like this, your mileage may vary. Nobilis certainly gives you a lot to tinker around with anyway; let's take a closer look at Hotel Giant 2...

Borderlands DLC #3: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
Gearbox and 2K released the third DLC pack for Borderlands recently, and it's considered by many to be the best. The first DLC, Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, had gamers fighting off zombies while DLC #2 was arena based and featured Mad Moxxi. This third DLC, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, picks up from the end of the original game and is packed with some great new features.

Aliens Vs Predator
A new Aliens Vs Predator game has been a long time coming, and as of last week, it's here. Developed by Rebellion -- the same studio that created the original Aliens Vs Predator game in 1999 for Windows, the new Aliens Vs Predator once again allows players to play as a Marine, Xenomorph, or Predator. In addition to short campaigns for each species, an online multiplayer component is included that is ultimately the real draw to the game. If you've looked online, scores for this title vary considerably from horrible to outstanding -- personally, I found the game to fall very much in between.

Twin Sector
Twin Sector is a first person puzzle solving game developed by DnS Development that definitely takes its cues from Portal. I suppose imitation is the sincerest form of flattery but this low-budget imitation from production value to game play is far from flattering.

Serious Sam HD: The First Encounter
Serious Sam was all about fighting against what seemed endless hordes of enemies. Once you’re done with the first wave, you catch your breath, find power ups and do it all over again. Even way back in 2001, this style of game play in a first person shooter was starting to wane as squad based, class selection player vs. player became the status of quo. So here we are, 9 years later with a HD update, but is it worth the entry fee?

Stronghold Collection
Tower defense games, we've all played them at work, during class or at home when we're bored out of our mind. Prior to the days of free flash based tower defense games, you had to shell out your hard earned money for them on the PC. The Stronghold games have much more going for it then having your men defend a castle from wave after wave of enemy soldiers. Since all the Stronghold games have similar game play and recycle a lot of the audio (or at the very least use new voice actors to record new lines) I'll just explain it once and mention any new additions or deviations in the following titles.

Left 4 Dead 2
If you're not familiar with the Left 4 Dead series, where have you been? The first Left 4 Dead was a survival horror FPS that that fitted 4 four players against hordes of zombies that could be played cooperatively or competitively (4 other players on the "infected team"). Left 4 Dead 2 takes the same gameplay mechanics as its predecessor, but is there enough there to warrant spending another fifty bucks? Read on to find out.

Rogue Warrior
Richard "Dick" Marcinko is known as the Rogue Warrior (yes, in real life). A former Navy SEAL, Marcinko is an author and accomplished business man nowadays. I had never heard the name before I began to look into a new game called Rogue Warrior, developed by Rebellion and published by Bethesda Softworks. This very M rated game puts players in the shoes of Marcinko as they single handedly must keep the North Koreans and Russians from 'winning' the Cold War. The action is gritty, the language is incredibly foul, and the game does have a lot of issues -- but I'll be damned if it isn't fun enough to warrant a play through.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition
Star Wars: The force Unleashed The Ultimate Sith Edition follows the story of Darth Vader's apprentice, Starkiller. Starkiller is given the task to hunt down Vader's enemies. The game takes place in between episodes III and IV where you get to visit some familiar locations in 9 missions (3 new missions in the Ultimate Sith Edition for a total of 12). Along with new missions you get the option to select a "custom" character model so you can play as iconic Star Wars characters. If you already have the Force Unleashed you're not missing much.

Worldshift
The PC platform is infested with MMO's and RTS games as it seems these two genres don't translate well to consoles. So the developers behind Worldshift mixed the two genres in a blender for an experience that seems all too familiar for anyone that has played an RTS in the past decade or so.

Sanitarium
Sanitarium is you typical "point and click" adventure game that came in with the 90's and sadly went away with the decade came to a close. Games such as Sam and Max, Kings Quest, come to anyone who spent countless hours gaming on the PC. DreamForge Intertainment took the familiar genre and placed into the horror realm that makes this game unforgettable. So let us go back to 1998, where Brittany Spears was still a relevant and respected pop star for another retro PC review.

Fallen Earth
Fallen Earth is a post-apocalyptic MMO developed by Icarus studios that tries to separate its self from its fantasy based counter parts. But being without elves, mages, and other iconic elements in MMORPGs will it really make this game much different than rest of the sea of MMO's out there that plague the PC?
