Afro Samurai, a manga/anime created by Takashi Okazaki, has been steadily growing in popularity for several years, traversing a variety of mediums from paperback to Blu-ray. As the Resurrection Blu-ray gets set for launch, game developer Surge teamed up with Namco Bandai to produce the first Afro Samurai video game. Out now for the Xbox 360 and PS3, this third person action adventure allows players to play through an expanded version of the original Afro Samurai anime story.

Afro Samurai started out as a very unique concept on television.  You have a samurai in the middle of some futuristic Japan (it's hard to tell the exact timeline), who is out to get the number one headband and will do anything in his power to obtain it. A head band, you ask? It brings immortality to the bearer. What more can you ask for?
