Real life is usually messier and less exciting than fiction, and this portrait of the famous Duchess of Devonshire supports that theory. Beautiful in many ways, The Duchess is an interesting, but not riveting, historical drama.

Supercomputer plots imminent destruction with Orwellian techniques—Mr. Everyman must come to the rescue in the nick of time. *scratches head* Has this been done before?
