2D brawlers were a huge hit in the late 80s and 90s, but you just don't see that many anymore. Done right, 2D brawlers are awesome co-op experiences that offer a lot of replay value and great memories. The genre has been well established by games like Double Dragon, Final Fight, and Captain Commando. SOE just launched a new PSN game that combines all of the classic themes and elements of a 2D brawler with lots of platforming action. Is Revenge of the Wounded Dragons a must have? Let's take a closer look.

The PSN was home to many great releases in 2008 and right at the tail end of the year there was yet another solid entry to the PSN catalog in the form of Crash Commando. Crash Commando was developed by EPOS Game Studios, a Swedish development company. Their first entry onto the PSN, Crash Commando is a side scrolling, platforming shooter that pits two rival factions against each other in an over-the-top blastfest.

SNK's Metal Slug series has seen years of successful sequels and releases on platforms ranging from Arcade to Wii. Now, SNK is bringing Metal Slug to the Nintendo DS in the form of Metal Slug 7. Not available on any other platform at this time, Metal Slug 7 offers players more of the intense platforming action we've come to know and love from the series.
