Pokémon SoulSilver Edition/Pokémon HeartGold Edition
Nintendo’s putting the heart and soul back into some of the best titles of their time. Editor's Note: This review features comments from co-editor Steve Schardein as well, who happens to be playing the Gold/Silver entries for the first time via these remakes.  His comments are shown in italics.  If you're a newcomer, you might appreciate Steve's take on the subjects that Pokéveteran Greg introduces throughout the article.

Borderlands DLC #3: The Secret Armory of General Knoxx
Gearbox and 2K released the third DLC pack for Borderlands recently, and it's considered by many to be the best. The first DLC, Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, had gamers fighting off zombies while DLC #2 was arena based and featured Mad Moxxi. This third DLC, The Secret Armory of General Knoxx, picks up from the end of the original game and is packed with some great new features.

Space Miner: Space Ore Bust
This weekend, despite having several a variety of enticing gaming options to choose from, I ended up spending most of my time on the iPhone. I didn't expect to, but I wound up sinking eight or nine hours into a new one from Venan Arcade entitled Space Miner: Space Ore Bust. The game's got a lot more than a clever title; space shooter fans and those that like a funny story and a light, accessible but nonetheless cool RPG game will want to be sure to get this one.

White Knight Chronicles - International Edition
Almost a year ago, I was reading up on this title through a Famitsu review. I know that Japanese have a different taste than Americans when it comes to gaming. That taste has been different since the video game industry was born. Different expectations and different ways to play have always led to this difference in opinion with final product. So, when Famitsu published their score for White Knight Chronicles as a 29/40 it didn't give me any reason to be concerned. Quite frankly, what the Japanese like we usually don't like as Americans, and vice-versa.

Borderlands DLC (#2): Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot
Borderlands expands again with its second major DLC release, Mad Moxxi's Underdome Riot. Unlike the original game and the first DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned, Underdome Riot is focused solely on surviving wave after wave of CPU enemies. What you'll face in this DLC is not unlike the Horde mode from Gears of War 2 or Firefight from Halo. Underdome Riot also includes a new weapons storage bank that can be upgraded, but seasoned players looking for a new level cap or new quests won't find that here.

Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain
Publisher Aspyr and developer Big Blue Bubble recently got together for a Nintendo DS game based off of Steve Jackson and Ian Livingstone's popular book series, Fighting Fantasy. These books from the 80s blended classic D&D style universes with the creative possibilities of being able to choose multiple story paths (not unlike the Choose Your Own Adventure books). I haven't read any of these books but I've been impressed with this video game adaptation. So is Fighting Fantasy: The Warlock of Firetop Mountain worth your attention? That largely depends on if you like (western) RPGs, but if so, don't miss out on this one.

Borderlands DLC (#1): The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned
Many fans of 2K and Gearbox's Borderlands spent at least part of their Thanksgiving weekend playing the new DLC, The Zombie Island of Dr. Ned. This first of several upcoming DLC offerings puts players in Jakobs Cove, an area swarming with zombified creatures ready to gnaw at your bones.

Dragon Age: Origins
Two epic games in one week? Man, my thumbs are sore, but it was all worth it. Sorry for being late folks, but I wanted to give you all the goods and bads of this Bioware beauty. Trust me, there isn't a lot here to dislike.
