Fallout 3
Spawned from a classic series by the same name, Fallout 3 emerges from the studios of Bethesda Softworks and onto next generation consoles.  Fans of the series have been half-hearted about its release.  They have been suspect about if the game keeps the heart and soul of the series intact.  They have been anxiously awaiting its release (which was on October 28th) to see what has become of the series in its third installment.  The verdict?  We can't tell you yet.  Read on...

Vampire Rain: Altered Species
It's been over a year now since Vampire Rain was released for the Xbox 360 to a battery of dismal reviews with issues noted such as laughable AI, terrible story, weak presentation, a ludicrously linear 'stealth' experience – the list goes on. Now the 'experience' comes to PS3 in the form of Vampire Rain: Altered Species. Altered Species is still the same (bad) game with just a handful of additional features that do nothing to improve the game.

Siren - Blood Curse
Siren was originally released for the PS2 by Sony’s Japan Studio is 2003. It was fairly well received, with a nod to the stealth-horror gameplay and intriguing story and developed characters, but at the same time lamented for several of its glaring gameplay shortcomings. Three years later, the sequel was released outside of the US, and now, the third Siren game, Blood Curse, has made its way the PS3 via download on the PSN. Spread across twelve episodes, this new Siren story takes place many years after the first one, but in the same cursed Japanese village. This time around players take the role of a new cast of characters, whose fates and paths are intertwined during several days of hell in this remote Japanese village.

Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops Plus
I love Hideo Kojima and his Metal Gear series in the most heterosexual way possible.  No other franchise has combined ridiculously intriguing story telling (pretentions as it may seem) with such fresh and bulletproof gameplay every time around.  Hell, Metal Gear Solid 4 could be Snake and a monkey doing nothing but sitting in a tree, throwing their own excrement at each other and I would still be, at worst, third in line to pick it up.  That being said, I had some reservations when I learned Portable Ops Plus was a narrative-free revisiting of last year's excellent original.  A mostly content free sequel screams “cash in” but, then again, it's being marketed (and priced) as an expansion pack.  So, all's fair in the land of trade offs, right?  Right?
