As a life long Mortal Kombat fan, I remember the day that I heard of Midway's announcement that their first next gen MK game was going to combine the MK and DC universes. It was a surprising idea, but not something that hasn't been done before (Marvel Vs Street Fighter). As the months went by, the anticipation grew and now having spent several days with Mortal Kombat Vs DC Universe, I'm pleased to say that it's a hell of a game.

Somewhere in between Madden and Mutant League Football lies Midway's Blitz series. This long running series of fictional players and football teams in a brutal, no holds barred league is making its second appearance now on the Xbox 360 in the form of Blitz The League II. The hits are more brutal and the action more over the top than ever, but is the overall experience worth the purchase?

It was only about two and a half years ago that I discovered TNA wrestling, the NWA's latest promotion, on Spike TV. Almost as long ago, there was talk of a TNA game coming to consoles, and after numerous delays, the TNA game has arrived. Much like the weekly show on TV, there is a lot to like, but ultimately you still feel disappointed but hopeful that next time, things will be better.

As the NBA season winds down, Midway brings us its third iteration of its arcade basketball game, NBA Ballers. For the first time on the next gen consoles, NBA Ballers Chosen One is looking to bring the house down with a slam dunk finish. With improved visuals and some new game modes and elements, the outlook is favorable; the outcome, however, falls short.
