MLB 10: The Show
MLB: The Show series has been ever so close to being spectacular for many years. The game has always had one or two elements that has kept it from moving even or ahead of the 2K competition. With that said, Sony has pulled out all the stops in attempts to pull ahead of MLB 2Kxx for the title of best ball game around. This year SCEA added a Home Run Derby and Catcher's Point of View to their library of neat add-ons to their ongoing baseball series. Would it be enough to pull ahead and steal second? Or will they simply be out at the plate? Let's play ball to find out.

SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3
SOCOM: Fireteam Bravo 3 is arriving on the PSP and PSPgo on February 16th and SOCOM fans have a reason to be happy. Armed with a short, but sweet, single-player mode and some nice co-op and online modes, there's enough here to keep a gamer entertained. Is it well armed, though? It is, but there are some jams here and there in the weaponry.

White Knight Chronicles - International Edition
Almost a year ago, I was reading up on this title through a Famitsu review. I know that Japanese have a different taste than Americans when it comes to gaming. That taste has been different since the video game industry was born. Different expectations and different ways to play have always led to this difference in opinion with final product. So, when Famitsu published their score for White Knight Chronicles as a 29/40 it didn't give me any reason to be concerned. Quite frankly, what the Japanese like we usually don't like as Americans, and vice-versa.

MAG
Before diving into this review, or while you're reading, you might want to check out our previous MAG converage which includes video and developer commentary from CES 2010, Developer Q&A from E3 2009, and CES 2010 Impressions of MAG. -SGM The idea of 256 simultaneous players in an online FPS sounds like something you would only find on PC, but SCEA and Zipper Interactive have created this unique experience solely for the PS3. Massive Action Game, better known as MAG, has been out in the wild for almost a week now with thousands of players populating its servers and taking part in the ever changing Shadow War between three private military contractors. Nathan and I have spent a lot of time in combat over the past week, and are pleased to say it's been a hell of a good time.

Buzz! Quiz World
In November, Sony released Buzz! Quiz World for the PS3, the newest entry into their popular trivia game series. Now, Buzz is back -- this time on the PSP. We reviewed and are still enjoying the PS3 version, but how does the PSP version stack up? Quite well, in fact. Let's take a closer look, shall we?

Uncharted 2: Among Thieves
In 2007, Naughty Dog and SCEA blew everyone away with Uncharted: Drake's Fortune. The third person action adventure played like a movie, one that you couldn't pull yourself away from and wanted to "watch" again as soon as it was over. No doubt a sequel was on the way, and in the last several months nearly everyone has gotten a taste of Uncharted 2: Among Thieves (UC2), thanks to plenty of publicity and the multiplayer beta. This past Tuesday, I managed to get what was probably the last available copy of UC2 in town, and earlier today I completed the campaign. Is it as least as good as the first? Am I ready for more? The answer to both of those questions is a firm, 'hell yes.'

NBA 10: The Inside
As a gamer and a sports fan, I love this time of year. The holiday gaming season is in full swing, football is everywhere, the NHL is back, and the NBA is nearly underway. In fact, I just watch some preseason NBA earlier tonight. As a fan of NBA hoops and games, each year at this time I'm taking in the newest versions of the three annual NBA titles that include NBA 2K from 2K Sports, NBA Live from EA Sports, and NBA from the San Diego Studios of SCEA. Up first this year for me is NBA 10: The Inside from Sony. Unlike recent years, NBA 10 is only available on the PSP this year as opposed to also including the PS2 and PS3. However like previous years, NBA 10 is much more than just an NBA sim. It's chock full of great alternate modes that are very likely to capture more of your time than the actual NBA sim itself.
