It's been fifteen years since SNK broke out The King of Fighters series, but only now does their star franchise come to the Xbox 360 and PS3 via King of Fighters XII. King of Fighters XII includes online play, twenty-two hand drawn characters, and new additions to the core gameplay, but does it deserve your hard earned gaming dollar? SNK Playmore and Ignition have a lot of fighter fans buzzing about their upcoming King of Fighters XII release, due sometime this summer. To help hold over fans of the fifteen year old series, King of Fighters 98 Ultimate Match was recently released on the PS2.

SNK has released several collections of their classic fighters from the 90s, and the newest is the King of Fighters Collection – The Orochi Saga. This compilation disc is very well priced at just $15 online, and contains the original five of SNK's timeless fighting series, the King of Fighters, from'94 through '98.

SNK's long running King of Fighters series returns to the PS2 with King of Fighters XI. As with most of the series I have played over the years, there is a lot to like, but also some sticky drawbacks too that can make the game hard to get into or enjoy.
