The Tony Hawk video game franchise was due for an overhaul, but I don't think many expected what Tony Hawk himself announced at this year's E3. The new Tony Hawk, simply known as Ride, would include its own skateboard controller. The idea is marvelous, but how does the final product shape up? I couldn't wait to find out when we got it in for review.

Richard "Dick" Marcinko is known as the Rogue Warrior (yes, in real life). A former Navy SEAL, Marcinko is an author and accomplished business man nowadays. I had never heard the name before I began to look into a new game called Rogue Warrior, developed by Rebellion and published by Bethesda Softworks. This very M rated game puts players in the shoes of Marcinko as they single handedly must keep the North Koreans and Russians from 'winning' the Cold War. The action is gritty, the language is incredibly foul, and the game does have a lot of issues -- but I'll be damned if it isn't fun enough to warrant a play through.

As a long time Need For Speed fan, I had my concerns when I heard the newest iteration of Need For Speed was going sim, rather than sticking with the familiar arcade racing I had come to know and love from the series. To date my favorite NFS is Most Wanted; the thrill of the police chases and the memories I have of working my way through the Black List are still fond today. There are no police chases in SHIFT, but what you do get is a great racer in the vein of Forza and Gran Turismo. No, it doesn't have hundreds of licensed cars and it's not as hardcore of a sim as those, but can SHIFT, in its first year, compete with these two juggernauts? Well, I'm no expert on the other two nor in technical sim racing, but I can tell you that SHIFT is a hell of a lot of fun and very addictive.

Zombies are familiar plot device to gamers and movie goers alike. What originally started as African folk-lore for re-animating a corpse to be your slave, has mutated into an even more sinister plot device to usher in the apocalypse. Left 4 Dead takes the undead plot device and implements it into a great co-op experience provided your team mates don’t leave you behind to your demise.

Are you the type of person who sings along to all your favorite pop songs in your car, in the shower, or even in your cubicle at work? Do you swear that if you could only just get your big break, that you would be the next big thing? Do you watch television shows like America's Got Talent, and American Idol and get frustrated that no talent hacks make it further than a sing star like you? Am I asking too many questions? Perhaps you just love karaoke. Whatever your reason is, SingStar Pop Volume 2 is now out for the PlayStation 2 console.

Futuristic racing has seen many forms, but few as popular as the Wipeout series Sony first presented on the original Playstation in 1995. Since then, several sequels have been released, most recently on the PSP in the form of Wipeout Pure and Wipeout Pulse. Now, SCE Studios Liverpool combines the ships, tracks, and music of the two PSP hits with a little HD zazz to bring us WipeoutHD for the PS3 via the PSN.
