So, Gran Turismo on PSP exists. After going dormant for what seemed like an eternity, the game reemerged this afternoon at Sony’s press conference to thunderous glee. I was skeptical of the purported stats (over 700 cars and a ridiculous number of tracks) and the translation to the PSP, but, thus far, everything seemed to play as it should. Only one track and one car were available in the demo, but I was, to put it blatantly, blown away by the level of detail in a PSP game. It looked near identical to GT4, which is considerably amazing given the level of detail in that late generation game. Anyway the controls, specifically, the analogue nub took some getting used to, but, if the game stays consistent with the demo, we’re in for something very special this fall.
