Single-Player Footage

Tony Mecca and Keith Hladik give us an inside look on what it takes to complete the demo (which is actually the 7th level in the final game).  Please keep in mind that portions of this video were cut per High Voltage's request so that the entire level isn't spoiled.  Also, don't forget that A) You're watching a developer play who is practically flawless at the game and B) the version he's playing is considerably easier than the final one.  Also, apologies for the screen glare (for which I went shaky cam to help avoid), but it was inevitable.  Hopefully the HD off-screen makes up for it.

Keith is the one playing and Tony is narrating.  There's a wealth of information in this video... so I hope you find it valuable.

Multiplayer Footage

New information abounds in this informative and undeniably awesome developer-narrated 10-minute multiplayer video, where you'll see editor Greg Schardein beating the living crap out of his competitors, even while adjusting his bounding box and mucking around with the options mid-battle.  Because that's how we roll at DigitalChumps.

Let us know if you've got any more questions for the team, and we'll do our best to get it answered for you!

question
9 or 7 multiplayer maps? has the friend list been up'ed to 64, or still 32? we need 64 since wii speak is only for friend matches. is there a regular human made sniper rifle? is there an option for everyone to choose their own weapon in anymode, or is it always preset weapon sets?

I can answer one of those already...
Yep, just seven multiplayer maps... the ones we already know of. Also, no bots for single-player. Not sure about the friends list or the other questions yet... I'll see if I can't solicit some answers for you tomorrow.

Hope you liked the video!

Wait a second...
We only know of 7 maps, but wasn't it confirmed to be 9 by Eric Nofsinger? It would make sense, because they shouldn't have gone around showing us all their maps right away.

Hmm...
You know, now that you mention it, I think I recall having heard that elsewhere as well. Sounds like a bit of conflicting information... though I explicitly asked about this yesterday, and the developer I spoke to on the project confirmed just seven maps.

I'll ask again today and see if I can't dig up some more on the situation.

So I checked with the dev team today for you...
Apparently Eric Nofsinger did indeed say 9 levels at some point... but now it rests firmly at 7 levels plus a random selection option. I hope this helps clear things up for you guys. :)

Stay tuned for lots of multiplayer footage in HD within the next couple of days! And thanks for the support. We independent sites need every bit of it.
