Miyazaki makes some really magical movies. Kiki's Delivery Service and My Neighbor Totoro were subtle films that captured some spectacular imaginary characters and very human moments.
Castle in the Sky is a different formula, though.

Disney and Studio Ghibli brought together some great stories from Japan. One of the more popular stories was about a witch named Kiki in Kiki's Delivery Service.

The history of the Warner Brothers is both interesting, reliant and tragic. Cass Warner, granddaughter of Harry Warner, put together a definitive documentary on the birth of the brothers, the birth of an empire and the tragic tales that go with it.

The Damned United looks at British footballer Brian Clough’s 44 days as manager of the Leeds United football club. So, yes, it’s about soccer, that sport the rest of the world is obsessed with (particularly in this, a World Cup year). But, this is a soccer movie with very little actual soccer in it. It’s much more about a proud, arrogant man who provides his own undoing.

This is what I would call a heartwarming drama. Spectacular performances and a very emotionally moving story.

The combination of offensive with humor meets a new low with The Sarah Silverman Program: Season Two, Volume Two.
I couldn't be happier.

Shout! Factory just released Season 1.3 of GI Joe on DVD last week. With Season 1.3, the entire first season has now been released in three individual sets. This four disc set contains episodes 44 through 65 on the first three discs, and some really cool extra features on disc four.

The BBC has been behind some of the best documentaries available. In 2007, Presenter Paul Murton and BBC Scotland put together a collection of twelve episodes, each about one of Scotland's historic Highland clans. In Clans of Scotland, Paul Murton takes an intimate look at the past, and present, of twelve clans. Later this month, BFS Entertainment is putting the entire documentary in a three disc DVD set that I've recently watched.

There are interesting stories, and there are interesting films. I'm not sure this one falls into the second category.

A nicely directed, semi-touching film, based on the semi-autobiographical novel of Simon Carr, The Boys Are Back in Town.

Fox has some interesting taste. Sometimes they're good picking shows and sometimes they're bad.
Sometimes, just sometimes, they're in the middle; and that can be perfect.

You could say this began a revolution that is responsible for today's cartoons.
You knew the mouse was mighty, but you didn't think he was that strong, right?
