Heavy Rain wasn't the only PS3 exclusive released on February 23rd. There was also NIS America's Last Rebellion, a JRPG which casts players as Nine and Aisha as they attempt to restore peace and balance to their world. The quest took me just under fourteen hours according to the timestamp on my save game, and I had a lot of fun throughout. However, Last Rebellion's casual difficulty and lack of any side quests may ultimately make this a tough purchase decision for the JRPG crowd.

MLB 2K10 has arrived! Baseball fans across the country couldn't be happier, unless you're a Reds' fan. Things have come and gone for the series and this looks to be the best out of the bunch.
As with life, though, nothing is perfect and the same rules apply to MLB 2K10.

MLB: The Show series has been ever so close to being spectacular for many years. The game has always had one or two elements that has kept it from moving even or ahead of the 2K competition. With that said, Sony has pulled out all the stops in attempts to pull ahead of MLB 2Kxx for the title of best ball game around.
This year SCEA added a Home Run Derby and Catcher's Point of View to their library of neat add-ons to their ongoing baseball series.
Would it be enough to pull ahead and steal second? Or will they simply be out at the plate? Let's play ball to find out.

A new Aliens Vs Predator game has been a long time coming, and as of last week, it's here. Developed by Rebellion -- the same studio that created the original Aliens Vs Predator game in 1999 for Windows, the new Aliens Vs Predator once again allows players to play as a Marine, Xenomorph, or Predator. In addition to short campaigns for each species, an online multiplayer component is included that is ultimately the real draw to the game. If you've looked online, scores for this title vary considerably from horrible to outstanding -- personally, I found the game to fall very much in between.

The long running Dynasty Warriors franchise got its newest entry last week with Dynasty Warriors: Strikeforce. Strikeforce has been on PSP for sometime now, but the console version offers a variety of additional features while simultaneously pushing the franchise to new boundaries. In many ways Strikeforce is the same Dynasty Warriors game we've come to know, but fans of the series and newcomers alike should be both pleased, and maybe a little letdown, with what's offered here.

Vandal Hearts was first released on the Playstation in the mid 90s, and was well received. A sequel was made and enjoyed by many, but the series has been quiet until a prequel was just recently released on XBLA and the PSN. Vandal Hearts: Flames of Judgment is a competent and traditional strategy RPG that should appease fans of the genre who aren't expecting anything more than a typical gameplay experience.

Almost a year ago, I was reading up on this title through a Famitsu review. I know that Japanese have a different taste than Americans when it comes to gaming. That taste has been different since the video game industry was born. Different expectations and different ways to play have always led to this difference in opinion with final product.
So, when Famitsu published their score for White Knight Chronicles as a 29/40 it didn't give me any reason to be concerned. Quite frankly, what the Japanese like we usually don't like as Americans, and vice-versa.

The idea of 256 simultaneous players in an online FPS sounds like something you would only find on PC, but SCEA and Zipper Interactive have created this unique experience solely for the PS3. Massive Action Game, better known as MAG, has been out in the wild for almost a week now with thousands of players populating its servers and taking part in the ever changing Shadow War between three private military contractors. Nathan and I have spent a lot of time in combat over the past week, and are pleased to say it's been a hell of a good time.

The Winter Olympics in Vancouver start in several days, and earlier this month Sega released their officially licensed video game on the Xbox 360 and PS3. I've spent several hours with Vancouver 2010 and while it's pretty fun, it lacks any real depth or substance that makes you want to keep on playing. Let's take a closer look.
